TGF Cold Feed Extruders

TGF single screw extruders are designed to process cold rubber strips. According to the application, they are available in various sizes and screw profiles from 30 mm up to 300mm and hourly productions up to 4 tons/h. They are complete with innovative temperature control units, electrical equipment and extrusion heads that can meet the specific needs of each end user.

TGDF Vented Extruders

In TGFD single screw extruders, the degassing system effectively evacuates the volatile components in the process material. They are configured to optimize their use according to the applications to which they are intended and are complete with innovative temperature control units, electrical equipment and extrusion heads that can meet the specific needs of each end user.

TVF Vertical Extruders

TVF rubber extruders are particularly suitable for meeting customer needs, especially well suited for co-extrusion in limited spaces. The machine’s column base is equipped with handling wheels and adjustable feet for floor support. The ability to rotate the extruder allows the most appropriate positioning and the best use of available space.

TPF Pin Barrel Extruders

TPF extruders improve mixing, plasticification and productivity by keeping the extruded output temperature low.
The pins positioned in the screw compartment, generate turbulence, friction and mixing of the extruded compound, guaranteeing a high degree of plasticification.
The pins also create increased pressure against the push flight of the screw by reducing the back flow of the mixture by increasing the transport capacity and resulting in an increase in productivity.

TPT Tangential Pin Barrel Extruders

TPT extruders enhance the characteristics of traditional pin extruders by improving temperature control and making it suitable for any application. Characteristic of these extruders is the presence of pins arranged radially in the extrusion cylinders tangential to the screw. The function of this configuration is to increase the range of the extruder and favor the plasticification of the rubber. The innovation consists in the creation of a special extrusion cylinder suitable for receiving cooled tangential pins. The cooling of the pins removes a considerable amount of energy from the compound being processed, allowing the screw rotation speed to be increased while maintaining low extrusion temperatures.

Co-extruders

Colmec creates custom co-extrusion solutions to optimize the customer’s existing spaces.

The extruders are complete with co-extrusion heads designed to ensure accurate control of each layer both in terms of thickness and homogeneity.

GP gear pumps

In combination with extruders, the gear pumps specifically designed by Colmec, give the following advantages:

• reduced heating of the compound with the same production capacity;
• reduced wear of the screw and the extruder barrel;
• improved geometric and dimensional tolerances of extruded profiles;
• better production yields due to much higher flow coefficients.

The main applications are the extrusion of profiles and hoses and or filtering.
