The hybrid “molten salt – hot air” oven is a patented and innovative system designed to vulcanize single and co-extruded rubber profiles with complex geometries. With this system, the profile to be vulcanized floats on the liquid salt without ever coming into contact with support or support elements. As a result, the profile vulcanizes without undergoing deformation as can occur in traditional oven systems where the profile is in continuous contact with rollers or motorized belts.
The portion of the profile that is above the molten salt line is vulcanized by the combination of salt and hot air that circulates in the oven.
The distinct advantage in using this type of oven is that the geometry of the profile is no longer constrained to any support plane or necessarily flat surfaces, but is free from any design limits to the complete satisfaction of the designer and the user.
